The Agency for Education and Professional Training (AEPTM) welcomed a new generation of cadets today. A total of 143 Border Police of Bosnia and Herzegovina cadets, arriving from all parts of the country, have commenced the Level I Basic Police Training Programme for the rank of police officer.

The first day followed the Agency’s standard admission procedure, including accommodation in the dormitories, a welcome address, contract signing, distribution of training materials, and the issue of uniforms. Classes will begin on Wednesday.

In accordance with the Level I Basic Training Curriculum for Border Police of Bosnia and Herzegovina cadets, which is aligned with the European Border and Coast Guard Agency (FRONTEX) Common Core Curriculum for Basic Training of the EU Border and Coast Guard (CCC 2022), the training programme will last eight months (168 working days) and will comprise a total of 1,200 teaching and training hours.

In addition to the newly admitted Border Police cadets, the Agency has also been providing basic training since May this year for 70 cadets of the Directorate for Coordination of Police Bodies of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
