Training on Firearms Handling and Semi-Automatic Pistol Shooting Skills Completed

The specialized training course “Firearms Handling and Semi-Automatic Pistol Shooting Skills (Basic Level)” was successfully completed today at the Agency for Education and Professional Training. The five-day training programme for employees of the Service for Foreigners’ Affairs was organized and delivered by lecturers and certified instructors of the Agency, in accordance with the established curriculum and training programme defining the objectives of the course in terms of developing and enhancing participants’ knowledge, skills and competencies related to the proper and safe handling of a semi-automatic pistol.
At the closing ceremony, the Director of the Agency for Education and Professional Training presented certificates to the successful participants, highlighting the expertise of the instructor team that conducted the training. Through participation in advanced international programmes, the Agency’s instructors have built a strong professional reputation and raised the training to a notably high standard.
“I would like to emphasize the professionalism and competencies of our instructors, which is also confirmed by representatives of SIPA, the Border Police, the Directorate, the entity Ministries of the Interior, as well as police officers from lower levels who have attended this type of training at our Agency. Whether delivered at the basic or advanced level, the curriculum combines both theoretical and practical components to ensure that participants acquire concrete knowledge and skills which, if necessary, they will be able to apply within the scope of their duties,” said Vujević.
He further noted that successful completion of this training represents a prerequisite for participation in advanced programmes for firearms handling instructors, adding that this approach is standard practice among partner police agencies in the country.
