Marko Vujević, Director of the Agency for Education and Professional Training received Mario Marić, Minister of Internal Affairs of the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton, and Robert Perić, Herzegovina- Neretva Canton Police Commissioner today.

They discussed the current cooperation between the MoI HNC and AEPTM and the ongoing basic training course for the MoI cadets who are to become junior police inspectors upon completion of the basic training course at AEPTM by the end of February.

Minister Marić and Commissioner Perić praised the staff and leaders of the Agency for demonstrating their professionalism in all of the projects realized so far. Director Vujević referred to the legal mandate of the Agency for Education and Professional Training to organize and implement basic, professional and specialist training programmes as a priority for the state-level police agencies (SIPA, GPBiH and DKPT). The Agency will continue, Vujević said, the practice of receiving cadets and police officers from lower-government levels to attend basic and other kinds of training courses, when its capacities are available.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton has been suffering from inadequate number of employees as it used to operate without a police commissioner from 2018 to 2022. Minister Marić expressed his appreciation for the efforts that the Agency makes to help the MoI overcome the staffing issues.
