At a Gala event of NATO Headquarters Sarajevo, the NATO Brigadier General Pamela L. McGaha presented the NATO Star Award to Marko Vujević, Director of the Agency for Education and Professional Training last night.

The award was presented in recognition of service and contribution to improving police and specialist training programs for police officers of Bosnia and Herzegovina, with a special focus on counter-terrorism training programs conducted by the Agency for Education and Professional Training in partnership with NATO’s Defence Education Enhancement Program.

Brigadier General McGaha stated in her official speech that the ceremony was an opportunity to acknowledge the important role of individuals and institutions for their significant contributions to the defense and security fields. 

NATO Headquarters Sarajevo recognized the officials from various institutions, who contributed to the security field in BiH, with the most-deserved awards. Apart from the Agency for Education and Professional Training, the award was presented to the representatives of the Armed Forces of BiH and emergency services who used to assist the allies hit by natural disasters in Turkey and Slovenia. ‘All those honoured with the NATO Star Award are the heroes who make us proud of the partnership with BiH,’ NATO Headquarters Sarajevo stated in a press release.
