Mentor Training Seventh Cycle

The seventh cycle of training for mentors of police officers in probation period has been completed today in the Agency for Education and Professional Training with the award of certificates. The training for 24 police officers of the Border Police of Bosnia and Herzegovina was conducted on November 5 – 9, 2018.

The Border Police officers received the certificates of completion of training from Saša Govedarica, Deputy Director of the Agency and Michael Harrington, Advisor to the U.S. Department of Justice International Criminal Investigative Training Assistance Program (ICITAP), which is the Agency's strategic partner in the preparation and implementation of trainings for police mentors in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

'You are aware of the importance of mentoring. I believe that this training has provided you as experienced policemen with the new knowledge and skills  in relation to developing a character relationship towards junior police officers, upon which their professional engagement in the police structure of our country will be built', Govedarica stated, adding that 'border policemen are where one's first experience with our country begins, which means they have to be well trained and professional'.

This is the last cycle of the Training for mentors of police officers in probation period in the Agency for Education and Professional Traning in 2018. This training was organized for 142 police officers of Border Police of Bosnia and Herzegovina, State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) and Directorate  for Coordination of Police Bodies.
