Border protection with respect for human rights: 62 BiH border police officers attended the training in 2023

The third cycle of this year's training Joint efforts in capacity building: Border protection with respect for human rights for BiH border police officers, which was prepared and implemented in cooperation with the Croatian Police Academy Prvi hrvatski redarstvenik, was completed today.
62 border police officers of Bosnia and Herzegovina attended and successfully completed this interactive training during 2023. Three training cycles were held at the Agency for Education and Professional Training. Four cycles were held at the Croatian Police Education Center Valbandon, near Pula, where BiH border guards had an excellent opportunity to improve their competencies and exchange experiences with border police officers from the other European countries.
Members of the Croatian academy teaching team were Robert Kralj, Dubravko Žurga, Mato Kozina, Milena Žuljević, Aleksandar Čubrilo and Krešimir Kaniža.
Aleksndar Čubrilo, a police officer for international cooperation in the Unit for Development of Police Education and International Cooperation of the Croatian Police Academy stated at today's certificate awarding ceremony that the training had been successful and praised the professionalism and dedication of the trainees, who were demonstrated the latest achievements , standards and procedures that are used in the EU countries. "This group was exceptional from the first to the last day, " said Čubrilo. He conveyed the greetings of the Academy leaders, the Minister of Internal Affairs and Director General of the Police of the Republic of Croatia, who have been monitoring the results of all activities and trainings that are carried out as part of the cooperation between the Croatian and BiH police education institutions.
The director of the Agency for Education and Professional Training, Marko Vujević announced the continuation of this cooperation through professional and specialist training courses as a response to the needs and requirements of the security agencies of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Continuous learning and development are important for the improvement of police competencies and application of acquired skills and knowledge in their daily activities, Vujević said.
