A delegation of the National Document Control Centre of the Czech Republic Ministry of Interior, led by the international relations coordinator, Andrea Frydryckova, came to a study visit to the Agency for Education and Professional Training as part of the project The promotion of knowledge in detecting forged documents (travel documents, residence permits, document examination). The Border Police of Bosnia and Herzegovina, whose representatives were in Mostar today, has been participating in this project for two years.

Predrag Šupljeglav, Deputy Director of the Agency for Education and Professional Training, received the guests on behalf of the absent director Marko Vujević, introduced the activities and basic legal responsibilities of the Agency within the security system of BiH. During the tour of the complex of buildings the guests showed the biggest interest in the modern classroom equipped with devices for detecting forged documents, which the OSCE Mission to BiH donated to AEPTM last year. The representatives of the National Document Control Centre of the Czech Republic said 'it was their good practice to continually obtain the identical sophisticated equipment for detection of forged documents for the border crossings and police academy, which makes it easy for police cadets to make a smooth transition from the school toward taking over and performing many demanding tasks  as border police officers.

Having seen the working conditions at AEPTM, Frydryckova said that in some segments they were even better than those of her Czech colleagues. Speaking about the curricula, Frydryckova said that the Czech Academy has been a partner organization of FRONTEX for three years, adding that AEPTM with its capacities and working conditions could have the same status and count on the Czech colleagues to help with their knowledge and experience in implementing the required procedures.

During the visit to the organisational units of the Border Police of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Czech Republic MoI reprsentatives will learn about the trends of forging documents that our investigators have discovered in the past period.
