Specialist training 'Financial investigations'
A specialist training 'Financial investigations' took place in the Agency for Education and Professional Training on 25-27 May. The training is designed and organized for law enforcement officers and representatives of law enforcement institutions to improve their knowledge and skills necessary for conducting criminal investigations and identifying and monitoring cash flows and finding out disproportion between their proceeds and legally obtained income.
MarkoVujević, Director of the Agency for Education and Professional Training, addressed the participants of the training and said that the Agency 'intends to expand cooperation with the university, as well as with law enforcement institutions in terms of hiring experts to modernize specialist trainings in accordance with the needs and demands of police agencies that need to be ready to adequately respond to all security challenges.' This training as well is a result of cooperation of a number of law enforcement agencies and institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina. It was led by lecturers trained within UNODC programme ' Building regional anti-money laundering and counter terrorism financing capacities in the Southeast Europe', within which 10 persons were trained in financial investigations.
This training cycle was led by the experts in financial investigations from the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA), Ministry of Internal Affairs of Republika Srpska, BiH Federation Police Directorate and Indirect Taxation Authority.
Among the participants of the training were 12 police officers and civil servants who perform the tasks and duties of prevention, investigation and detection of economic and financial crime, who come from the law enforcement agencies and institutions such as State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA), BiH Federation Police Directorate, Brčko District Police and Tax Administration, BiH Federation Police Administration, Republika Srpska Police Administration, Indirect Taxation Authority and Agency for Education and Professional Training.
