Scientific, educational and professional cooperation agreement

Prof. dr. Nedžad Korajlić, Dean of the Faculty of Criminalistics, Criminology and Security Stidies of the University in Sarajevo and Branko Vukoja, Director of the Agency for Education and Professional Training have signed an agreement of scientific, educational and professional cooperation in Mostar today.

This agreement is a possibility for co-organizing scientific and research activities, conferences, symposiums, seminars, workshops and exerting joint efforts  to provide funding from external sources. The agreement involves involves working out joint research projects, and professional and academic development programmes, promotion of individual contacts between academic and professional staff, exchange of academic and professional staff  in regular and extraordinary educational processes, as well as studying the problems of interest for both sides and finding the best ways for resolving them.

Korajlić and Vukoja stated that the cooperation between these two institutions would add to a better exchange of experience and knowledge vis-a-vis their professional work, education and research.

Accompanied by Director Vukoja and Elvir Velić, Assistant Director for Training, Nedžad Korajlić visited a new AEPTM facility complex that will open very soon and the temporary Training Centre, where he spoke to the cadets who are taking basic police training course, among whom there is a number of those who graduated from the Faculty of Criminalistics, Criminology and Security Studies. According to the agreement signed, the professors from this Faculty are expected to be included in the teaching process in the Agency for Education and Professional Training.  

Korajlić underlined the importance and role of criminalistics in the investigation of criminal offences, and the importance of training in general in raising competences of authorized officers. He attached importance to professional ethics of police officers, which is clearly illustrated by the principle 'Keep your head cool, your heart warm and your hands clean!'
